Our organisation was founded in 1990. Among its members there are students, university lecturers and scientists.

Main purposes of association's activity are:

• combination of efforts of university women and women with academic degrees for assistance of solving educational, humane and ecological problems of Russia;

• contribution to the fullest disclosing of professional, creative and business potentials of women;

• assistance in the promotion of women to making-decisions positions;

• revival of the best intelligentsia's traditions;

• taking part in the upbringing of a youth generation, regarding morality and professionalism as of paramount importance.

The association carries out an active work among the public. So scientific-practical conferences of  scientists, postgraduate and undergraduate students became traditional. Forceful, vigorous and energetic women take part at the association's activity.

Olga P. Drozdova, assistant rector of the St.Petersburg state university of economics and finance, PhD in economics, was elected as the President of the organization in 2001.
